Bushwick Farmers' Market
is looking for a few
able-bodied early-riser volunteers to help set up our three weekly markets (Wed @ 8:15am, Thu @ 7:15am, Sat @ 6:15am). A two hour shift will earn you a nice bag of fruits & veggies and our deep gratitude. Appx 2 hour shift. Help also needed for evening break-down of the market - also a two-hour gig.

Native Plant Workshop @ Secret Garden

Join EcoStation: Bushwick!,
Brooklyn Botanic Garden's GreenBridge Community Garden Alliance, and Toadshade Wildflower Farm for a fun & informative workshop on Native Plants at the Secret Garden Nature Preserve.

We will be discussing the native and invasive species found there, and replanting with some hand-selected species to enhance this evolving outdoor classroom.

EARTH WEEK 2010 RECAP
Earth Week 2010 was kind of an extended "coming out" party for our fledgling nonprofit, EcoStation: NY.
We reached out to diverse neighborhood populations here in Bushwick, Brooklyn, with a slate of six unique events.
We tried to offer something for everyone, from a night of eclectic music in a bike shop accompanied by a locavore's
dream cookout by Bushwick Food Coop, to a trip to Brooklyn Botanic Garden with the seniors of Palmetto Garden Club,
to a "sunrise summit" (yes it was really at 6:05am!) for educators to expeirence the Secret Garden Farm & Nature Preserve.

Palmetto Garden Club to Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
